Buddhist Non-Theism

Uncertainty is the only certainty

A priest and a nun are playing a game of tennis. The nun plays excellently, but the priest often misses the ball. Each time he misses he exclaims: “Goddamned, missed!” At a certain moment the nun finds that he is going too far and requests him not to curse anymore. Ashamed the priest promises to behave better and … “if not then God may punish me and change me with his lightning into a pile of ashes!” The game continues until the priest misses again, loses his patience and curses once more: “Goddamned, missed!” Immediately the sky becomes dark, thunder clouds appear and lightning flashes downward: the nun is hit and changes into a pile of ash. Then a voice roars from above: “Goddamned, missed again!”
